A motion to cite for contempt against Allen Potter, the nephew of Fred Potter, has been filled with the Scott County court. The 20 page document contends that Allen Potter aided and abetted his uncle by willfully disobeying and violating the court’s orders. Potter has himself been in and out of court during Fred Potter’s legal battle over a family trust.
The motion came as the defendant, Cassandra Holmes, and her counsel, Jack Skinner, claim Allen Potter attempted to hide and remove items that the court ordered inventoried. Furthermore, that he, Allen Potter, followed and video taped Holmes as she attempted to locate items listed in the trust. This, they purport, was a distraction to Holmes. Lastly, the motion contends that Allen Potter removed items from the home before she could inspect them and that he and his uncle placed highly valued silver bullion in a safe deposit box.
In court transcripts, the plaintiff stated he was permitted to remove items that belonged to a third party. Also, that because of media reports and word spreading about the silver, they felt it needed to be put in a secure place. Allen Potter responded with a firm “No” when asked if he was intentionally hiding the items.
Allen Potter, who lives out of state, retained Little Rock attorney Richard Worsham. He is now in the process of filling a response to the motion made by the defendant. This comes as the trust battle with his uncle, Fred Potter, continues. We will continue to keep you up to date on the status of the case as it continues to develop.
