Pirate Cheer “WE RUN THIS SHIP”

The Cedarville Pirate Cheer team is flying high following their second competition of the year. Coached by Treva Rice and Dusty Steele, the team has their eye set on a trip to Nationals for the second year in a row. Last year’s team made history by being the first Cedarville team to make the Orlando, Florida trip.

Two weeks ago, at the Rogers Heritage War Eagle Cheer Competition, the Pirates took second place in the Sr. High Coed Performance in the 3A-4A class. This past weekend the Pirates were Coed Champions for the 1A-4A class at the Arkansas Cheer Coaches Association Northwest Arkansas Classic hosted by West Fork High School. They were also awarded the Top Stunts for the overall teams in classes 1A-6A. Nick Moore, Audrey Gathright, and Destiny Mahan received first place medals for winning the high school coed individual stunt group competition.

Up next for the Pirates is the Arkansas High School State Cheerleading Championship on December 21 in Hot Springs, AR, for a chance to make Nationals in Orlando, FL.
