For the past several decades, an Elmore has been the recognized voice broadcasting over the public address system at Mansfield Tiger football games. The illustrious Gary Elmore, a member of the Mansfield Wall of Fame, served in that capacity for numerous years until his passing a few seasons ago. His son Clint Elmore took the reigns a year later until he decided to call it quits this past spring.
On September 2, a new voice of the Tigers enters the scene. Jim Reynolds, of The Sports Hog 103.1 will take over the play by play duties in the Mansfield Tiger Stadium press box this football season.
The former teacher, coach, principal, political advocate, and all around sports enthusiast will add to his growing list of daily responsibilities when he picks up the microphone on Friday nights.
“It’s a great feeling to be asked to come back,” expressed Reynolds.  “I remember talking to the great radio personality Gary Elmore and picking his brain about radio. I was helping Coach (John) Mackey with a great group of athletes just enjoying the moment.”
