Sr Lady Bulldogs Are Ready For Takeoff

The Sr High Lady Bulldogs ended the season last year playing some of their best ball when it mattered the most. Finishing the regular season as the 6th seed for the conference tournament didn’t slow those ladies down as they made a remarkable run in the tournament to capture a berth to the regional tournament for the first time in seven seasons. “Through all of the ups and downs, these girls never stopped working and competing every day. We started the year slow then had a good showing at the Bill Frye Christmas Classic, and ultimately reached our pre-season goal of a regional berth,” stated Coach Josh Atchley.

The Sr Lady Dogs only lost one from last season’s team in Chelsea Stidman, but she was a do-everything player for the Lady Bulldogs. Looking to fill some of her role this season will be seniors Rheagan Sanford, Jessica Ozuna, and Kadance Espinoza. “These seniors are hungry for another berth to the regional tournament and look to expand their roles if they want to reach that goal this season.” Juniors Molly Richmond, Summer Imperiali, Bianca Hinojosa, and Hailey Stidman all saw big minutes as sophomores and will need to show out this season as well. The sophomore group includes Jinjer Ward, Hazel Buesing, Ale Johnson, Vivian Holmes, and Allyson Dye. “All of the underclassmen will be a big part of what we accomplish this year, and they all have worked incredibly hard to prepare for this season. Wear your masks and cheer on those Lady Bulldogs!”
