After winning their last two games against Mansfield and Cedarville, the Waldron Sr High Lady Bulldogs’ loss against the Lincoln Lady Wolves on Tuesday night was a hard pill to swallow. The Lady Bulldogs fell short 56-39 which brings their conference record to 4-7 and puts them at 945 total points on the season. “We came out flat which is something we can’t do in a big-time conference match up,” explained coach Josh Atchley. “We started to play with some urgency but it was too little too late. We must move on and be better if we want to achieve our goals. I’m always proud of these girls.”

Leading the “Epic Eight” offensively was Rheagan Sanford with 15 points, Chelsea Stidman with 10, Hailey Stidman with nine, Kadance Espinoza and Molly Richmond with two apiece, and Jessica Ozuna with one. The Lady Bulldogs brought in eight steals with Sanford leading with three, 17 offensive rebounds and 18 defensive rebounds with Hailey Stidman leading the pack with nine and six respectively.

Up next, Waldron will be hosting a huge game against the Charleston Lady Tigers on Friday, February 7. The Tigers are undefeated 11-0 in conference play and hold a 20-2 total play record. Friday is also Eddie Night in remembrance of Eddie Harrison so fans are being asked to wear green. The night will kick off at 4:30 p.m.
