Harrell Wayne Cabe, son of the late Bob and Mildred Cabe, was born June 3, 1961, in Waldron, Arkansas and quietly and peacefully went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 8th, 2019. Harrell fought bravely and was a true gentleman during his difficult battle with Huntington’s Chorea Disease; until his passing when he was called to his heavenly home.

From a very early age, Harrell professed his love for Jesus Christ and was a dedicated, faithful Charter Member of Southside Baptist Church. In his church family, he served his heart’s desire to the Lord as a teacher, deacon, music director and song leader for several decades.

In 1985, he married the love of his life, Alishia Yandell and they had two beautiful daughters, Savanna and Marci. Harrell was blessed to give both his daughters away in marriage to two fine Christian men, Marwan and Tyler, and is now “Pops” to four precious grandchildren: Cason, Addilyn, Noah and Shaya. His grandchildren were his heart and soul and he was truly loved and adored in their eyes. He was born to be a grandpa and enjoyed every second he was given with them.

Harrell was a 1979 graduate of Waldron High School and became a local construction company owner in Waldron and surrounding communities. Harrell was a tradesman and enjoyed working and building with his hands. He was taught and apprenticed in the trade of construction under his Uncle Earoll. In 1991, he began his own construction company and named it after his two princesses, Marci and Savanna, lovingly called M&S Enterprises. Harrell employed many young men through the years and mentored them and loved to share his faith, like a loving father would to his sons. Harrell truly cared about the people he employed and did not see them as employees, but rather family. His skills and talents in the art of construction was coupled with a very generous heart. And often at his own expense, would help others in need without hesitation. This was a man that loved his family, his church, his friends and his community with a true servant’s heart.

Harrell has given his time and served many organizations, such as: School Board Member for Waldron Public Schools, Poteau River Conservation District Board, Class Parent to both his daughter’s high school classes, tirelessly built many floats for students and churches during parade times, and reverently and honorably filled any position needed in his church.
His days on this earth will forever be cherished in the lives of his family. Harrell leaves behind his darling love and wife, Alishia, of the home. And he leaves two daughters and two son in laws, Savanna and Tyler Thornton, of Waldron and Marci and Marwan Aboul-Zelof, of Beirut, Lebanon. Although his grandchildren are young, Cason, Addilyn, Noah and Shaya will never forget him and the love and kindness they always received from their “Pops.” This beloved man also leaves behind a dear sister, Vickie, whom has been ever present in his life during years of health and later sickness. Harrell also leaves behind his beloved mother-in-law, Della Yandell, who was so proud to call him her son. Two precious nieces, Crystal Stevens and Valerie Petty and two great nieces, Kylee and Morgan Brown, aunts, uncles and a multitude of treasured friends will also mourn in the passing of this great man of God.

Harrell is preceded in death and will be welcomed at the gates of glory by his parents, Bob and Mildred Cabe, his brother, David Cabe, and his father-in-law, James Yandell.
