Phyllis Sue Langford, born July 14, 1950, in Mexico, Missouri, to Orville Bise and Lucy (Schutz) Bise, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at her home in Y-City, Arkansas, with her devoted husband by her side.

Phyllis grew up in Missouri, where she met and married the love of her life, Jimmie Langford. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. They spent more than 25 years in Missouri before retiring to the peaceful mountains of Arkansas.

Although retirement brought Phyllis to Arkansas, she soon found another opportunity to put her talents and strong work ethic to use. She began working as a bookkeeper at Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Mena, Arkansas, where she faithfully served for many years before eventually retiring once again.

Phyllis dearly loved her home in Y-City. She and Jimmie spent countless hours working together in their yard, enjoying the beauty of the outdoors and the peacefulness of being surrounded by nature. When she wasn’t working around the house or yard, Phyllis enjoyed visiting flea markets, always delighted by the possibility of finding a good treasure.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Phyllis attended Boles Free Will Baptist Church, where she was loved and appreciated by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her hardworking spirit, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jimmie Langford of the home; her siblings; and a host of extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jana Sue Langford; her parents, Orville and Lucy Bise; and four brothers.

The family will host a private Celebration of Life at a later date.

Phyllis leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and a legacy of love, faith, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
